OnSIP customers using Grandstream phones can now use boot.onsip.com to set up their devices and get the latest firmware.
The devices supported include the following: GXP1405, GXP1450, GXP2100, GXP2110, GXP 2120, GXP2124, GXV3140, GXV3175, HT503, HT502
If you are an OnSIP customer and have one of the supported models, follow these steps to set up your phone:
- Reset your phone to its factory default settings (Menu > Config > Factory Reset).
- Assign the phone to a user in the admin portal.
- Set the Config Server Path to http://boot.onsip.com in the phone’s web interface. A detailed walkthrough is available here.
- Once the Config Server is set, the phone will need to reboot TWICE. The entire process takes approximately 4 minutes.
Unfortunately, older models such as the GXP2000 and the Budgetone 100/200 are not supported because they use a provisioning method that we are unable to secure. Their configuration files are encrypted using a key shared across all phones. These files contain account credentials which we can’t risk exposing.
