Every April, over 5,000 volunteers take a day out of their busy schedules to clean up New York City. The volunteers work to make the city greener, cleaner, and ready for the summer. It's a wonderful opportunity for friends, families, co-workers, students and civic groups to spend time together outside while giving back to the community.
This day is called New York Cares Day Spring, and it's estimated that the volunteer work completed on this day would take park staff over 9 years to complete on their own. This Saturday, April 21st, Team OnSIP is excited to participate with helpful hands and donations.
OnSIP will be attending New York Cares Day Spring at the Bartow-Pell Mansion. The Mansion Museum is a National and New York City Landmark and the home to one of the most beautifully situated historic houses in the city. We will be getting down and dirty planting, mulching, composting, and painting to make the Bartow-Pell Mansion as green as ever.
New York Cares. Funds collected will support the year-round volunteer programs of New York Cares, which provides services to over 400,000 New Yorkers in need. Help improve our communal backyard and get involved in the annual efforts to help clean up New York's green! Donate today on our team page and help us achieve our goal. We're halfway there!
5,000 volunteers, 80 of the city's treasured green spaces, all in one day.
